There is a critical need for blood in Minnesota this holiday season.
Sue Thesenga with the American Red Cross says it’s not uncommon to see a drop in blood donors in December…
“It’s difficult to travel, make your donation appointments. So, that combined with just how busy everybody is getting ready for the holidays. Additionally, cold and flu season makes December really challenging for blood donations. We are encouraging people to give something that means something and make an appointment to give blood. It’s really easy to do that. Go to our website, you just put in your zip code and all the blood donation opportunities near you pop right up.”
