Wright County will be hosting its annual prescription drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 26th from 10 AM to 2 PM at two locations – the Albertville Coborn’s (5698 La Centre Ave.) and the Citizens State Bank of Waverly – Montrose Office (145 Nelson Blvd.).
The Wright County Sheriff’s Department is partnering with Wright County Public Health and MEADA, the Mentorship, Education and Drug Awareness coalition to host the Take Back Day. Officials say it’s a safe, convenient, and responsible way for community members to dispose of their unwanted, unused and expired medications.
Anyone who brings in medications is urged to leave them in their original container if possible while blacking out identifying information. If the original container is unavailable, the medications may be sealed in a plastic bag. No liquids will be accepted. Used vape cartridges will be accepted if the batteries are removed.
