UPDATE: The names of those involved in the crash have been released. Killed in the crash was the driver of the Ford Fusion, 63-year-old Bette Louise Nelson on Annandale. Injured were 57-year-old Steven Wade Johnson of Hastings and 46-year-old Curtis William Watkins of South St. Paul.
One person died when a passenger car collided with a semi truck late Thursday afternoon in Wright County.
The State Patrol reports the crash happened shortly before 5:30 PM Thursday on State Highway 55 and Reardon Avenue Northwest, just west of South Haven.
Officials say a Ford Fusion passenger car was eastbound, while a Freightliner semi was westbound when the vehicles collided.
The driver of the Ford sedan was a 63-year-old woman from Annandale, and the driver of the semi was a 57-year-old man from Hastings. A 46-year-old man from South St. Paul was a passenger in the semi.
The State Patrol says the names of the persons involved and more circumstances of the crash will be released later today after notification of relatives.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, South Haven Fire Department, and Allina Ambulance assisted State Troopers.
