Fire crews from Winsted and Lester Prairie were called to a fire alarm at an apartment building in Winsted Friday afternoon.
Firefighters responded to the fire alarm from the Linden Wood Apartments around 3 PM.
Winsted Fire Chief Justin Heldt told KRWC’s Kendell Kubasch that the fire originated in a single apartment unit, but was quickly extinguished. Chief Heldt said because of the size of the structure with many residents, a call immediately went out for mutual aid, including a ladder truck as a precaution.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
