A funeral Mass was held in recent days for a man who grew up in Wright County, and had a stellar career in economics.
Patrick Bajari passed away April 14th at the age of 55 after a battle with cancer.
Pat graduated with the Class of 1987 at Annandale High School. He later completed both his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Minnesota earning BS degrees in Economics and Mathematics in 1992. He added a PhD in Economics in 1997.
He later held faculty positions at Harvard, Stanford, Duke and Michigan, before returning to faculty at the University of Minnesota in 2006.
In 2010, he became the Chief Economist at Amazon, and in 2023, he became the Chief Economist at Keystone.
The funeral Mass for Patrick Bajari was held April 26th at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Winsted. Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society, or the Department of Economics Annual Fund in memory of Pat Bajari at the University of Minnesota Foundation.
