Family, friends and colleagues will pay their respects today (Friday) to a lifelong St. Michael resident, businessman and community volunteer.
William “Billy” Daleiden passed away May 30th at the age of 90.
Billy graduated from The Abbey in Richardton, North Dakota. He later served in the military in France. Upon returning to St. Michael, he worked for the St. Michael Creamery, and later joined his brother, Melvin, at Daleiden Plumbing and Heating.
Billy and his wife, Betty raised their family in St. Michael. In 1982, they started B & D Plumbing and Heating, which continues to be a growing company in the area, operated by their son, Dennis and wife, Tracy.
In 1989, Billy and Betty opened the Auto Showers Car Wash, which is currently operated by their son, Mark, and wife, Delena.
Billy was a lifelong member of the St. Michael Catholic Church, and was also active with the Knights of Columbus. He also served as a member of the St. Michael Fire Department.
Memorials to William Daleiden are preferred to Cornerstone Women’s & Triniti Hospice.
