A funeral Mass is planned for today in Kimball for a well-known member of the community, and former teacher and coach in the Kimball School District.
Larry Jensen passed away on New Year’s Day at the age of 77.
He was a life-long resident of the Kimball area. He was a 1965 graduate of Kimball High School, and served in the U-S Army during the Vietnam War.
Following his service, he attended St. Cloud State University, earning a bachelor’s, and later a master’s degree in education.
Larry and his wife, Lois raised their family in Kimball, where Larry taught economics and social studies for his entire career in the Kimball School District. He also was a varsity baseball coach, boys basketball coach, and a Jr. High football coach. He also was a longtime referee for basketball after his coaching years.
The funeral Mass for Larry Jensen is planned for today (Tuesday) at St. Anne’s Catholic Church of Kimball.
