(Rep. Walter Hudson – R – Albertville)
Minnesota Republican leaders have started the recall process against the 66 House Democrats who have thus far refused to show up for work at the Capitol.
The GOP says they have started the process of collecting signatures on the recall petitions. 25 signed petitions would be needed for each district to first present to the Secretary of State’s office, then the Minnesota Supreme Court could decide if a recall is warranted. Republicans say they plan to file all of the recall petitions with the Secretary of State on Monday.
Representative Walter Hudson, Republican from Albertville says enough is enough when it comes to the ongoing boycott from the DFL…
“I have very little sympathy for the situation the Democrats have manufactured by cheating themselves, getting caught and refusing to face the political consequences. The session starts when statute says it starts. You are to be here. That is state law.”
Meanwhile, power sharing negotiations continue between House Republicans and Democrats.
