Granite Falls Woman Killed, Four Persons From Our Region Injured in Weekend Crash in Southwestern Minnesota

One person was killed, and four people from our Wright County listening area were injured in a traffic crash Saturday afternoon in Southwestern Minnesota.

The State Patrol reports that around 3:15 PM September 13th, a Ford F250 pickup was westbound on Minnesota Highway 67, while a Chevy Impala passenger car was northbound on Yellow Medicine County Road 11 in Omro Township. The vehicles collided in the intersection.

Killed in the crash was the driver of the Chevy sedan, 45-year-old Amanda Baumann of Granite Falls.

The driver of the Ford pickup, 60-year-old Robert Goble of Elk River, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the Dawson Hospital.

Three passengers in the pickup, 83-year-old Virginia Goble of Clearwater, 33-year-old Ashley Skogen of Clearwater, and 31-year-old Emily Skogen of Maple Lake all sustained non-life threatening injuries and were treated at the Dawson Hospital.

The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office, the Granite Falls Police, the Clarkfield Fire Department, and the Dawson and Canby Ambulance teams assisted the State Patrol.
