MnDOT reports that the final leg of the 2025 road work on U-S Highway 12 in Wright County is now complete.
Officials say crews have completed work and re-opened all lanes in Montrose, finishing up the 2025 construction that made upgrades to Highway 12 through Howard Lake, Waverly, and Montrose.

In Montrose, Highway 12 was repaved from east of Clementa Avenue to east of Zephyr Avenue. Curbs, gutters and entrances were also rebuilt, a center turn lane at Zephyr and Arizona Avenues was added, and the truck turning radius was widened. Pedestrian crossings at Highway 25 and County Road 12 were also improved.

Overall, the Highway 12 improvements in Wright County totaled $9.4 million dollars, with re-surfacing, improved drainage, pedestrian improvements and upgraded markings as a part of the overall upgrades.
