The next phase of work on U-S Highway 12 in Wright County is now underway in the City of Waverly. Officials with MnDOT say Highway 12 will remain open during the construction, with most work being done between 7 AM and 7 PM.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane each way between Summerfield Drive and First Street South. Drivers should expect narrow lanes, lane shifts, gravel surfaces and flaggers directing traffic. Shoulders and turn lanes will be closed at times. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained, but expect the use of alternate entrances or side streets, including sidewalk detours.
The project includes three phases. The portion of construction in Howard Lake is expected to be completed by late July. The Waverly portion of the project will be completed in mid-August. Work in Montrose is expected to begin in late July and run through late September.
