MnDOT says that the summer-long work on Highway 12 in Howard Lake is getting into the final stage.
Roadwork is currently focused on areas west of 13th Avenue to east of Sixth Avenue.
Officials say motorists should expect Highway 12 to be open with one lane in each direction, though narrow lanes, shoulder and turn lane closures, some gravel surfaces and flaggers will continue to be common. MnDOT says most work will occur between 7 AM and 7 PM on the weekdays, weather permitting.

Pedestrians are asked to remember that some sidewalk closures with signed detours will be encountered.
Highway 12 is being completely re-done with a new asphalt surface from west of 13th Avenue to east of 6th Avenue. Along with the highway re-construction, new or repaired concrete curb, gutter and entrances are being added.
Howard Lake businesses remain open during the construction. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained and will remain open, though there will be occasional alternate entrances that will need to be used.
