Nearly every corner of our region will be busy with community festivals this weekend.
KIMBALL
The community of Kimball starts the big events of Kimball Days tonight (Friday). Events include a farmer’s market, supper in the park, family bingo, a waterball fight, kids and adults tractor pull, and “Legally Blonde” the musical tonight at the Kimball High School.
ST. MICHAEL
St. Michael will host the 2025 St. Michael Daze & Knights beginning tonight. The main events include fair hair, family bingo, royalty candidate Q & A, and music from Shane Martin from 6 to 8 PM, followed by The Fabulous Armadillos on the main stage from 9 PM to midnight. The concert will include a 10 dollar cover charge.
ROCKFORD
Rockford celebrates River Days 2025 this weekend. Tonight’s events include “Chalk the Walk,” shredded chicken sandwiches at the Lions Park building beginning at 5 PM, gel blasters from 5 to 8 PM at the skating rink, inflatables from 5 to 9 PM in the park, a beer garden and food trucks and concession stands in the park. Music tonight (Friday) will be from “IV Play” beginning at 8 PM under the big tent. Admission to the music and dance is free.
All three celebrations continue through the weekend, along with other Saturday-only events in our area.
