Wright County residents are shoveling away a few inches of snow from the first storm of the winter season Tuesday night and into early Wednesday morning.
The precipitation in the storm stayed mostly rain until about 8 PM, or even later in some areas. That reduced the snow amount to about 1 to 3 inches of wind driven snow.
There were traffic issues due to slippery roads overnight, and today’s traffic could be slow moving until later in the day, but most main roads are in relatively good winter driving condition. Drivers are advised to watch for scattered slippery spots, and be aware of blowing snow conditions, especially in open areas.
