A Loretto woman has died as a result of contracting Malaria while traveling abroad.
51-year-old Khristina Lund contracted Malaria while on a missions trip to Uganda. Lund had spent two weeks in Uganda working to assist disadvantaged children in the country as part of the Adored International Ministries.
After initially believing that she was suffering from jet lag or influenza, Lund admitted herself to the hospital. She died there three days later on February 13th.
A Celebration of Life for Khristina Lund was held in recent days at Buffalo Evangelical Covenant Church.
