Memorial Services Saturday for Longtime Hanover Resident, Food Shelf Manager and Honored Human Services Worker, Helen Skutley

Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday for a longtime Corcoran and Hanover area resident, and honored Human Services worker.

Helen Skutley passed away August 20^th at the age of 85.

Helen grew up in the Winthrop area. Helen and her husband of 62 years, Lavern “Skooter” Skutley raised their familly in the Corcoran-Hanover area.

Helen worked as the church secretary for 40 years at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Hanover.

She is credited with starting and managing the Hanover Area Food Shelf for many years. In 2011, Helen was honored with the Virginia McKnight Binger Award in Human Services.

Memorial services for Helen Skutley are scheduled for Saturday, September 6^th at 11 AM at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hanover.
