Memorial Services Scheduled for Saturday for Longtime Delano Educator, Billy Weis

Memorial Services are scheduled for Saturday in Delano for a longtime area resident and educator.

Billy D. Weis passed away January 9th at the age of 88.

Bill was born in Eden Valley, and developed a strong work ethic working for his father’s construction company, driving school buses and the famous red buses at Glacier National Park, and worked on the groundcrew for Frontier Airlines. He also was a member of the Wyoming and Minnesota Air National Guard.

He received an undergraduate degree from St. Cloud State University, and a master’s degree in geography from the University of North Dakota – Grand Forks. He also earned a specialists degree in administration from St. Cloud State.

Bill and his wife, Jinnelle raised their family in Delano, and Bill spent 34 years as an educator in the Delano School District. Many of those years he taught 8th grade history.

Memorial Services for Billy D. Weis will be held at 3 PM Saturday at the Light of Christ Lutheran Church in Delano.

The family prefers memorials to the Light of Christ Endowment Fund, and Love, INC of Delano.
