Memorial Services are scheduled for Saturday in Buffalo for a lifelong resident, and noted musical instructor.
Gale Holmquist passed away November 12th at the age of 91.
She was born in Wadena, but grew up in Buffalo and graduated from Buffalo High School with the Class of 1952.
Gale and her husband, longtime grocer Dwight Holmquist, spent nearly 50 years together until his passing in 2004.
Gale earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and later a Master of Music degree from the University of Minnesota. She taught piano to countless students in the Buffalo area for decades, and lent her talents to church services locally and in the Minneapolis area. She also participated as a musician in community theater productions and with area orchestras.
Memorial Services for Gale Holmquist will be held Saturday at 11 AM at the Buffalo United Methodist Church in Buffalo.
