Memorial services are planned for today (Friday) for a career military serviceman from the Wright County area.
John Braun of Otsego passed away July 3rd at the age of 58.
John grew up in Albertville, and later in Houston, Texas. After graduating from high school in Houston, he enlisted in the U-S Army, and proudly served for 24 years in both the U-S Army and the Army National Guard. His service included roles as an Infantryman, Military Police Officer, Personal Security Officer, Unit Transport Operator, Readiness NCO, and Human Resources Specialist.
After his military retirement, John continued his dedication to veterans through his work at the Department of Veterans Affairs, and served as a member of the Wright County Reserve Unit.
Services for John Braun are scheduled for today (Friday) at the Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, children, father, siblings and several other extended family members.
