Memorial Services were set for today (Friday) for a noted Buffalo resident.
John Holmquist passed away December 10th from a heart attack while he was pheasant hunting in South Dakota. He was 73 years old.
John was born and raised in Buffalo, and graduated with the Buffalo High School Class of 1970.
John and his wife, Barb, raised their family in Buffalo. He was proud to have contributed to the success of his family’s supermarket, Holmquist’s, in Buffalo. He later retired from the City of Buffalo in 2018.
After Barb’s passing in 2017, John married Andrea Ahlm in 2021. The couple enjoyed travel and many outdoor adventures.
Services for John Holmquist were scheduled for today (Friday) at the Buffalo Covenant Church.
