Memorial Services Today (Thursday) for Longtime Buffalo Businessman, Carl Bowman

Family, friends, and residents of Buffalo and the surrounding area will pay their respects today (Thursday) to a longtime Buffalo resident, businessman and community volunteer.

Carl Bowman passed away June 3rd at the age of 90.

Carl was born in Luverne, and graduated from Mound High School with the Class of 1953. He then attended Dunwoody Institute to study sheet metal fabrication and installation in the HVAC industry. He was also a member of the U-S Army Reserves.

Carl and his wife of 65 years, Dorothy, made their home in Buffalo, where they raised their family while also owning and operating Bowman Sheet Metal, Heating and Air Conditioning. The company continued as a family business for over 50 years.

Carl was also active in the community. He served in the Buffalo Jaycees, and was a Rotary Club member and Past President. He also served on the Buffalo City Council, and served on the Buffalo Airport Board.

He was also very active in many capacities at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Buffalo. In later years he was a mentor at the Buffalo Community Middle School.

Memorial Services for Carl Bowman are scheduled for today (Thursday) at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Buffalo.
