While temperatures have moderated in recent days, many Wright County residents are getting some eye-opening heating bills from the lengthy stretch of frigid temperatures we had in late January.
Minnesota Department of Commerce spokesman Michael Schmitz reminds Minnesotans it’s not too late to apply for energy assistance…
“The program helps eligible Minnesotans pay for heating and electricity, helps avoid disconnections, or if you lose heat through your fuel running low or your heating system, like your furnace or boiler, stops working.”
Here in Wright County, the heating assistance program is implemented by Wright County Community Action in Maple Lake. More information can be also found on the state Department of Commerce’s website or by contacting your local utility provider.
