The latest numbers show hunters harvested more than 170 thousand deer across the state during the 2024 season.
The DNR’s Todd Froberg says the harvest numbers are headed in the right direction…
“So, seven percent increase from last year for overall harvest. Three percent lower than the five-year mean. Still a little bit lower than the long term but a good increase from last year. And honestly a little bit higher than I expected just based on the conservative bag limits that we had.”
