“The proper thing to do on receiving that disconnection notice is contact the utility. The utility has an obligation to let you set up a payment plan, and customers are entitled to a payment plan that fits the financial circumstances of the household.”
Thom says Minnesotans can also apply for energy assistance should they need help.
