MN House Stalemate Continues in St. Paul

Still no movement in the stalemate between Minnesota House Democrats and Republicans.

GOP lawmakers have held multiple sessions with Democrats still missing because of a dispute over power sharing.

Republican House Speaker Lisa Demuth this week openly invited Democrats to further the discussion and to join Republicans on the House floor…

“Going forward happy to talk to leadership, talk with any Democrats. We have said all along that any Democrats who want to show up for work and work alongside and get the things done for Minnesotans that we need to do that they are welcomed to do that. They just haven’t chosen to exercise their right and their responsibility to their voters.”

The DFL has filed a lawsuit asking the Minnesota Supreme Court to declare that Republicans acted unlawfully by organizing their own quorum.
