More September Road Work in Wright County

There are more road projects continuing or getting underway in Wright County this week.

The Wright County Highway Department says work will get underway Wednesday on Wright County Highway 75, or, Broadway Street in Monticello between Otter Creek on the Northwest end and County Highway 18, or Riverview Drive / Fenning Avenue, to the Southeast.

The work will consist of placing an asphalt rejuvenator seal coat on the existing bituminous pavement. The highway will remain open while the majority of the work is done. Traffic will be directed by flaggers near and through the work zones. Drivers should expect minor delays. No detour will be posted, though drivers may want to take alternate routes to avoid the work area.

The work is part of the Wright County 2025 Pavement Preservation Contract, and is expected to be completed by this Friday, September 12th.

Meanwhile, work continues on the CSAH 37 / County Road 137 project. The work will includes the construction of a new roundabout at MacIver Avenue, which will close County Road 137 to thru traffic beginning September 15th. A detour utilizing CSAH 19, or LeBeaux Avenue and CSAH 38, or 70th Street will be posted. The first stage of the project is expected to be completed by early to mid-November. The work coincides with the construction of the new Costco site in Otsego.

Other September road work includes a temporary closure of County Highway 39 west of County Road 123. Crews will be working for the next two weeks on a culvert replacement in the area just west of County Road 123 on County Highway 39 in Silver Creek Township. A posted detour utilizes County Highway 123 and CSAH 8.
