North Star League Scores and Recaps for the Week of 6/16 – 6/23

Sunday, June 16th:

Delano 5, Dassel-Cokato 4. The A’s walked off the Saints with two runs in the bottom of the ninth to pick up the win. Jackson Royer came out of the pen for the victory for the A’s.

Cokato 17, Maple Plain 7. Alan Pietilla was a one-man wrecking crew, driving in seven runs in the Kernels win.

Litchfield 9, Howard Lake 6. Jakes Jones continued his hot hitting with his sixth double in three games and Joey Hyde picked up the win on the hill for the Blues.

Jake Jones, above, leads the North Star League in doubles.

Loretto 15, Waverly 4.

Hutch 5, Maple Lake 2. Jayden Fleck went 2-4 at the plate and drove in two for the Huskies.

Wed. June 19th:

Waverly 8, Rockford 3. The Stingers won a game between two teams desperate for a win.

Delano 2, Litchfield 0. Max Otto pitched eight shutout innings and struck out fourteen in the A’s win.

Buffalo 9, Maple Plain 2. J.D. O’Donnell led the Bulldogs power display with two home runs, while Justin Johnson and Colton Haight also homered in the ‘Dawgs win.

Dassel-Cokato 8, Loretto 3. Collin Krick pitched a complete game in the Saints win.

Hutch 13, Cokato 1. The Huskies smashed 15 hits, led by Tyler Schiller going 2-3 with three RBI, as the Huskies breezed past the Kernels.

Maple Lake 4, Howard Lake 2. Ben Clapp hit a home run, and Ben Goelz added a double and also picked up the win on the mound for the Lakers.

Friday, June 21st:

Maple Lake 7, Cokato 0. Ben Clapp stayed hot with a Home Run and three RBI’s, while Hunter Malachek did it both at the plate and on the mound for the Lakers, smashing a double, and striking out sixteen in the complete game shutout win.

Ben Clapp, above, is heating up for Maple Lake, with two home runs last week.

Hinckley 7, Maple Plain 0.

Saturday, June 22nd:

Buffalo 3, Lyons Pub 0. Brock Mutterer got the win for the Bulldogs and Justin Johnson homered as Buffalo advanced to the Hinckley Tournament semifinals.

Moorhead 8, Buffalo 7. The Bulldogs lost in the semifinals of the Hinckley Tournament on Saturday night.

Anoka 7, Maple Plain 3.

Sunday, June 23rd:

Dassel-Cokato 7, Rockford 1. Jorden Fleck pitched the Saints to a victory over the Crows on Sunday.

Howard Lake 11, Cokato 6.

Loretto 4, Delano 0. Miles Nablo struck out 15 and only allowed three hits in the Larks win.

The Loretto Larks, above in blue, with their win over Delano on Sunday, jumped into first place in the North Star League.

Buffalo 16, Hinckley 1.

Dumont 8, Waverly 7.
