The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has announced that it will be conducting a public question and answer session Wednesday, June 11th in Monticello. The session will run from 5 to 6 PM in the Bridge Room at the Monticello Community Center.
NRC staff will host the open forum to present the assessment of safety performance at the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant for 2024. Staff will respond to questions specific to the safety performance of the facility, and the NRC’s role in ensuring safe plant operations.
Officials say this is an informational meeting with a Question-and-Answer Session: The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to discuss regulatory and technical issues.
