Numerous Wright County Communities to Kick-off the Holiday Season This Weekend

Many communities in Wright County are ready to welcome the holiday season this weekend with various celebrations.

In Buffalo, the annual Deck the Halls celebration returns on Saturday from 3 to 5 PM at Sturges Park. Santa will arrive by fire truck, and the family will enjoy live reindeer, horse-drawn wagon rides, costumed characters, refreshments and more. The annual city tree lighting will be held at 3:30 PM. Visitors are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the food shelf, and an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.

Maple Lake’s Chamber of Commerce will host the 2025 Christmas kick-off Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM. A free-will donation pancake breakfast will be held beginning at 9 AM at the American Legion, Photos with Santa, live reindeer and other fun activities are planned.

St. Michael’s Winterfest will be held on Saturday with events from 2 to 5 PM at the St. Michael City Hall and Town Center Park. Kids games, a SOAR music performance at 3:30, visits from Santa and his elves, and a holiday sing-a-long are planned. Non-perishable food donations are also welcomed.

Delano will once again its Old Fashioned Christmas Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM in the historic Delano downtown area. Holiday music, treats, activities for the kids, plenty of shopping, plus food trucks and vendors.

Another big weekend event for the holidays is the annual Buffalo Community Orchestra “Holiday for Orchestra with Ringers & Singers.” Sunday, the BCO will be joined by the wRight Ringers Community Handbell Ensemble along with the Wright County Chamber Chorus, and members of the Buffalo High School Concert Choir. The concert begins at 7 PM Sunday at the Buffalo High School Performing Arts Center. Advance tickets are available at; www.bcomn.org.
