Today (Tuesday) is primary election day for Minnesota Senate District 29.
The Republican primary will narrow the field from three candidates to one for the general election on November 4th. Michael Holmstrom, Jr. and Bradley Kurtz, both of Buffalo, and Rachel Davis are vying to be the lone GOP name on the general election ballot.
Louis McNutt is the only declared DFL candidate, so barring a heavy write-in, he will advance to the November general election.
Early voting has been going on via mail and absentee in-person. Today, (Tuesday) voters may cast their ballots in person at their normal polling place. In most cases, polls will be open for in-person voting from 7 AM to 8 PM.
Today’s primary election for the District 29 Minnesota Senate seat occurred with the unexpected passing of longtime State Senator Bruce Anderson of Buffalo.
