One driver was injured when a pickup truck and a passenger car collided Monday afternoon in Winsted Township in neighboring McLeod County.
The State Patrol reports that around 3:15 PM Monday, a Ram pickup was southbound on County Road 9, and was turning east on Highway 7. Meanwhile, a Dodge Avenger was northbound on County Road 9. The vehicles collided at the intersection.
The driver of the passenger car, 43-year-old Phathoumma Thammavongsa of Lester Prairie, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the Glencoe Hospital.
The driver of the pickup, 55-year-old Cary Thaemert of Mayer, was not injured.
The McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, the Winsted Police Department, Lester Prairie Fire Department, and Ridgeview Ambulance assisted at the scene.
