“Operation Dry Water” Designed to Keep MN Waters Safer

With the hot weather, expect packed lakes and rivers across Minnesota this Fourth of July weekend, as boaters and vacationers take to the water.

From July 4th through July 6th, we’re stepping up patrols on Lakes, rivers, and roads, making sure people are being safe and making smart choices.”

Officers will be out in force for Operation Dry Water now through Sunday. The annual initiative aims to raise awareness about the dangers of boating under the influence of alcohol or drugs and emphasizes the severe penalties for boating while intoxicated.
