A metro area man was injured Tuesday afternoon when he was struck by a pickup truck in the City of Howard Lake.
The State Patrol reports that around 1:25 PM Tuesday, a Nissan Frontier pickup was eastbound on Highway 12. The vehicle stopped, and a passenger, 27-year-old Christopher Fasching of Shakopee, exited the vehicle. Fasching then reportedly was struck by a Ford pickup that was westbound on Highway 12. Fasching sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
The driver of the Nissan pickup, 59-year-old Douglas Kalani Jose of Howard Lake, and the driver of the Ford pickup, 33-year-old Wade Bollin of Cokato, were not injured.
The Howard Lake Police assisted the State Patrol.
