A Corcoran man is charged in the shooting death of his roommate in an incident at a mobile home in Corcoran in recent days.
54-year-old Steven Frederick Endsley is charged with second-degree murder in the death of his roommate, 52-year-old Chad Huntington.
The criminal complaint indicates that Endsley was arrested December 11th at the mobile home in the 7800 block of Maple Hill Road in Corcoran after a second visit by police on a welfare check on the shooting victim.
Officers reported having to force their way into the home through a door that had been reinforced by wood that was screwed into the frame from the inside. Authorities say they found Huntington deceased in the home with multiple gunshot wounds to the head.
According to the complaint, Endsley told officers he did not remember shooting Huntington, but that “it couldn’t have been anyone else.” Officials say Endsley did not offer any further information on a motive for the incident.
