A remembrance and military honors will be held today (Wednesday) in Buffalo for a longtime Rockford resident and amateur baseball player.
Myron “Mike” Rux passed away in late 2023 at the age of 90.
Mike grew up in Rockford, and was a graduate of Rockford High School. He was a U-S Army veteran, and worked for some 45 years for FMC.
Mike had many hobbies and was a jack-of-all-trades, but one of his favorite activities was amateur baseball. Mike played amateur ball from 1948 to 1973, and was inducted into the North Star Baseball League Hall of Fame in 1994.
A remembrance for Mike, and Ellie Rux will be held today (Wednesday) at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Interment will follow at the Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Loretto.
