A state lawmaker from our region was back in Washington this week testifying about the fraud problem in Minnesota.
Representative Kristin Robbins of Maple Grove, and Republican House Fraud Prevention Chair gave testimony in front of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee. Robbins was asked by Republican Senator Lindsey Graham about the status of the various programs in Minnesota…
“The system is absolutely broken. There is fraud on multiple levels, failures of internal controls, (Graham) And you’re telling me your state has not been responsive? (Robbins) No they have actively I would say harmed whistleblowers who tried to point it out and they have tried to shut down investigations.”
At the end of Wednesday’s hearing, Republican Chair Ted Cruz invited Governor Walz, Attorney General Keith Ellison and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey to attend a future hearing.
