The 2025 income tax filing window is now open.
State Revenue Commissioner Paul Marquart has some reminders on what to double-check before you file, particularly if you’re self-filing…
“Make sure you enter the right name, spell the right dependents, and have their Social Security or ITIN numbers. That’s always important. If you’re going to do direct deposit, make sure you double-check your bank routing and account numbers.”
Marquart strongly recommends direct-deposit for any refunds that you are due…
“A lot of taxpayers will be receiving refunds, and the most secure and convenient way to get your refund is to file electronically and choose direct deposit. That’s the best way to do it.”
