Three Injured in Five-Vehicle Pileup in St. Michael

Three people were injured when five vehicles collided on I-94 Tuesday morning in St. Michael.

The State Patrol reports that shortly after 10:30 AM, all five vehicles were eastbound on the freeway when they collided near Milepost 204.

Authorities say the driver of a Kia Rio, 60-year-old Starrise Hausladen-Thomas of Minneapolis, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, while the driver of a Dodge mini-van, 42-year-old Mohamed Bulle of St. Cloud suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital. A passenger in the mini-van, a 34-year-old man, also from St. Cloud, was also transported to the St. Cloud Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of a Chevy Silverado pickup, 65-year-old Douglas Yager of Sauk Rapids, the driver of a Jeep Compass, a 27-year-old man from Orlando, Florida, and the driver of a Hyndai Accent, a 30-year-old man also from Orlando, Florida, all either escaped injury, or had minor injuries that did not require transport for treatment.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, the Albertville and St. Michael Fire Departments, and Allina Ambulance assisted at the scene.
