The 2025 Tree of Hope toy collection event will be held Saturday in the north metro.

Tree of Hope’s annual mission is to deliver toys to children who are hospitalized over the holiday season.

Deb Klier is a member of the Tree of Hope Board of Directors. She says the group fills a unique need during the holidays…

Our goal is to put a smile on the face of a child over the Christmas holiday. So we collect toys throughout the year and in December we send them out to hospitals across the state. Last year we sent toys to 39 hospitals across the state of Minnesota, and this year we’re adding four additional hospitals. Small hospitals, big hospitals, it doesn’t matter…if they want to have toys for the children in their care over the holidays, we will help them get toys for that.”

Volunteers from throughout the state help in collecting, sorting and delivering the toys.

New, unwrapped toys may be dropped off this Saturday at Atlantic Aviation at the Anoka-Blaine Regional Airport at 9877 North Airport Road Northeast in Blaine. Collection hours will be from 8 AM to 12 noon. Monetary donations may also be made.
