Two Injured in Pickup vs. SUV Crash Friday in McLeod County

Two people were injured when a pickup and an SUV collided early Friday evening in neighboring McLeod County.

The State Patrol was called to the scene of the crash on Highway 22 at 150th Street in Hassan Valley Township.

Authorities say the Dodge Ram pickup and a Ford SUV were both southbound on Highway 22 when they collided at 150th Street.

The driver of the SUV, 35-year-old Luke Johnson of Glencoe, sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash and was treated at the Hutchinson Hospital. A passenger in the SUV, 35-year-old Valerie Johnson, also of Glencoe, had minor injuries that did not require hospital treatment.

Both the driver of the pickup, an 18-year-old male from Brownton, and a passenger, an 18-year-old male from Glencoe, escaped injury.

The McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, Hutchinson Fire Department, and Allina Ambulance assisted State Troopers at the scene.
