Two Injured in Wednesday Afternoon Crash in McLeod County

Two people sustained injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash early Wednesday afternoon in neighboring McLeod County.

The State Patrol responded to the scene of the crash on westbound Highway 7 at Cable Avenue in Winsted Township around 2:40 PM Wednesday.

Authorities say a Ford F-150 pickup was eastbound on Highway 7 when it collided with a Honda CR-V that was making a turn onto northbound Cable Avenue.

The driver of the Honda SUV, 34-year-old Avery Hackbarth of Stewart, Minnesota had non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the Glencoe Hospital ER for treatment.

The driver of the Ford pickup, 84-year-old Marlin Hecksel of Watertown was treated for non-life threatening injuries at the Waconia Hospital.
