Authorities are investigating a two vehicle crash that happened Thursday morning in Maple Lake.
47-year-old Maaret Kaatsep Petaisto of Buffalo was westbound on Highway 55 in a 2016 Jeep Compass when she collided with a 2014 Ford Edge, driven by 40-year-old Ryan Donald Lommel of Litchfield. The two vehicles met at the intersection of Spruce and Highway 55.
Lommel was not injured, while Petaisto was taken to Buffalo Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Roads were reported as snow and ice covered at the time of the collision. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts, and no alcohol was involved.
The State Patrol was assisted in the 6:24 AM crash by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Maple Lake Fire Dept. and Maple Lake Ambulance.
