Water Safety Continues Through the Fishing and Boating Season

Safety officials with the Minnesota DNR remind boaters and fisherpersons that safety precautions need to be continued all through the fishing and boating season.

Officials say there are two critical pieces of safety equipment needed for every trip onto the water, a life jacket and engine cut-off switch…

Children under the age of ten are required to wear their life jackets by law. Adults should constantly monitor good behavior and bring their life jackets and wear them. And then anytime you are in the boat, bring that engine cut-off switch in case of an unexpected fall overboard.”
