A funeral Mass was held over the weekend in Annandale for a longtime St. Michael and later, Annandale resident.
Leon Zachman passed away December 29th at the age of 84.
Leon grew up in the St. Michael area, and graduated with the Class of 1958 from St. Michael Catholic High School.
During his wokring career, he worked for Land O’ Lakes, and Abbott Labs. He and his wife, Marlene raised their family on a 30-acre hobby farm. He was known for planting trees, and was a softball enthusiast, playing with the Knights of Columbus team. Leon was also a longtime volunteer firefighter in St. Michael.
The funeral Mass for Leon Zachman was held Saturday at the St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale.
