A funeral Mass was held over the weekend for a longtime Waverly area resident, former businessman and former Minnesota House of Representatives member.
Richard “Dick” Borrell passed away June 23rd at the age of 72.
Dick grew up in Waverly and was a graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic High School. He later earned bachelor’s degrees in both education and business at Mankato State University.
He was a veteran of the U-S Marine Corps. After his service he made a career in direct mail, and was the owner-operator of DB Direct for more than 20 years.
Dick served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2003 through 2004, and was longtime supporter of the Wright County Republicans.
The funeral Mass for Dick Borrell was held June 29th at the Church of St. Mary in Waverly.
