Friday, December 5th.

Boys Basketball.

Buffalo 82, Monticello 43. Eli Hegle scored 21 of his 27 points in the first half as the Bison cruised past the Magic on Friday night.

Eli Hegle, above, has avg. 27 ppg in his first two varsity starts.

Maple Lake 65, Oglivie 26.

Girls Basketball.

Monticello 62, Buffalo 35. Abby Ruda led a balanced scoring night for the Magic with 15 as Monticello won on the road at Buffalo on Friday. Brianna Eggers was the top scorer for Buffalo with 11.

Maple Lake 46, St. John’s Prep 8. Lucille Walton scored more points on her own (10) then SJP scored all night in the Irish win.

Annandale 62, Zimmerman 44. Evie Eenhuis hit seven threes and scored 21 points in the Cards win.

Kimball 49, Dassel-Cokato 45.

Rockford 61, Eagle Ridge 52.

Girls Hockey.

Delano 3, Robbinsdale Arm/Cooper 2. Kaelyn Wittwer netted two goals, including the game winner in the Tigers win over RAC.

Litchfield DC 2, Moose Lake 1. Mya Iverson scored the game winner in overtime in the Dragons win on Saturday.

Saturday, December 6th.

Boys Hockey.

Delano 6, Southwest Christian 0. Brady Kangas had a big night for the Tigers with a hat trick and an assist in the Tigers shutout win.

Wayzata 6, STMA 3. Once again, the Knights played a ranked team tough but came up short. In the last two games the Knights have been even in goals with Moorhead and Wayzata after two periods, 5-5, but in the third the Spuds and Trojans have outscored them, 9-0. Braeden Waller scored two goals for the Knights.

Minnetonka 4, Buffalo 0. Logan Preugschas stopped 43 shots in the Bison loss.

Girls Hockey.

Alexandria 4, Buffalo 3. Avery Corbin scored two first period goals, and after Bridgette Kotish scored in the second to make it 3-1 it looked like the Bison were in control, but the Cards scored three unanswered goals in the third to pull out a thriller on Saturday.

North Wright County 3, Hopkins 2.

Girls Basketball.

Delano 60, Prior Lake 51. Abbie Pietila had a double double, 17 points and 10 rebounds in the Tigers win.

Boys Basketball.

Byron 65, Delano 58. Vinny Luccarelli (16), and Nate Nielson (15) combined for 31 points in the Tigers loss.

Sauk Rapids Rice 76, STMA 66.

Boys Swim and Dive.

Buffalo won the “Border Battle” on Saturday at Buffalo, with a score of 739.5. Delano was second with a score of 616.

Gymnastics.

Buffalo finished 9th at the Prior Lake Invite, the home team Prior Lake took home first.

Delano 129.2, Litchfield 125.9

Girls Wrestling.

Courtney Kotish from Buffalo took third at 155 at the STMA Invite on Saturday.

Boys Wrestling.

Buffalo took 5th at the Glencoe Silver Lake Invite on Saturday. Finishing first in their weight classes at the tournament were Aiden Herbst at 172, and Matthew Babatz at 285. Gabe Roehl was second at 131.

Note: Delano won the Buffalo invite on Thursday, defeating Buffalo, Eden Valley Watkins, and Mora to take home the title.

Thursday, December 12th.

Girls Hockey.

North Wright County 2, Buffalo 0. Alexa Schumm and Charlotte Heckendorf each scored as the River Hawks shut out the Bison on Thursday. McKenna Sale got the shutout for NWC.

Delano 1, Mound 0. Avery Thompson scored the game winning goal with six minutes left. Savannah Geyen stopped all 25 shots in the shutout win.

Boys Hockey.

Litchfield DC 5, Providence 2. Tripp McCann scored the game winning goal in the first period as the Dragons defeated the Lions on Thursday.

Champlin Park 7, STMA 3.

Boys Basketball.

Monticello 67, Mound 28. Carson Deibele scored 14 in the Magic win.

Mahtomedi 74, Delano 38. Nate Nielson led the Tigers with 13 points in the loss.

Albany 67, Annandale 55.

Dassel Cokato 70, Providence 51.

Girls Basketball.

Rockford 64, Spectrum 27.

Hutchinson 47, Annandale 32.

Boys Swimming.

Delano picked up its first win of the season over Jefferson on Thursday.
