Boys Wrestling.
STMA 35, Stillwater 30. It was a battle of #1AAA STMA and #2AAA Stillwater on Friday night, and it was the defending state champs from STMA that took home the close win on the road. Picking up victories for the Knights were Landon Thoennes (114), Grant Bergeron (121), Eli Schultz (127), Chase Mills (139), Lincoln Robideau (145), Joe Scully (172) and John Murphy at 189.

Buffalo 88, Hopkins 84. The Bison came back from a second half deficit late to win on the road at Hopkins. Eli Hegle was the top scorer for Buffalo with 31.
Maple Lake 77, ACGC 63. George Riviere hit seven three’s and scored a game high 30 for the Irish in the win, while Bowen Walton added 25 for Maple Lake.

Howard Lake WW 73, Rockford 64. Alex Stueven (36 points) and Zach Murphy (16) led the Lakers to the win, Noah Torberg scored 14 for the Rockets in the loss.
Annandale 71, Dassel-Cokato 51. Colton Purcell scored 27 to lead the Cards, while Judson Whittaker with 20 led the Chargers as the Cards won on the road at DC on Friday night.

Rockford 75, Howard Lake WW 56. Madison Willer scored 16 in the Rockets win.
Monticello 86, Princeton 31. Samantha Voll (21 points) and Abby Ruda (17) combined for more points than the whole Tigers team in the Magic win.

Monticello 4, Chisago Lakes 4. Ashton Stoll scored two goals and added an assist as the Moose tied the Wildcats on Friday night.
Saturday, January 17th.
Boys Hockey.
Delano 5, Holy Family 4. The Tigers rallied from a 4-1 deficit in the third period to win on the road at Holy Family on Saturday. The Tigers scored two goals in twelve seconds to cut the lead to 4-3, then tied it on a goal by Dylan Nelson at the 14:17 mark. Connor Oja won it at the 2:43 mark in overtime for Delano.
Edina 3, Buffalo 0. Both goaltenders were great on Saturday, but it was the #7AA Hornets who skated away with the win. Wyatt Spindler from Edina stopped all 36 shots he faced, while Aubrey Baker from Buffalo, stopped 32 of 35.
Sauk Rapids Rice 5, Litchfield DC 3. Landon Corbin, Tyler Rocheleau, and Bjorn Anderson scored the Dragons goals in their loss.
Eden Prairie 7, STMA 2.
Girls Hockey.
Litchfield DC 5, New Ulm 1. Lydia Schultz scored two goals and had an assist in the Dragons win.
Blake 10, Delano 1.
Minnetonka 9, North Wright County 0. The Skippers outshot the River Hawks 51-10 on the day.
Girls Basketball.
Delano 73, Mahtomedi 27. Abbie Pietila was all over the place for the Tigers in the win. Pietila scored 14 points with 7 assists and nine steals for Delano.
Boys Basketball.
Stewartville 75, Delano 62. Four players scored in double figures, led by Ben Tellers with 16 points, but the Tigers came up short against Stewartville on Saturday.
Boys Swim and Dive.
Delano qualified for the True Team state tournament by winning first at true team sections this past Saturday. True Team is this weekend at the U of M Aquatic Center.

#1AA Monticello won the “Tornado Tumble” in Anoka on Saturday with their highest score of the season.

Howard Lake WW 59, Annandale 55. The Lakers won on the road in overtime on Monday night.

Boys Basketball.
Buffalo 83, Maple Grove 75. The #5AAAA Bison went on the road and knocked of #3AAAA Maple Grove on Tuesday night. Thomas Jordan (29 points) and Eli Hegle (26) led the charge for Buffalo.

Annandale 92, Glencoe SL 88. Colton Purcell scored 17 of his 27 points in the second half, while Gabe Westman scored 14 of his 22 points in the second half as the Cards rallied from a twelve point second half deficit to come back and beat GSL on the road Tuesday.

Monticello 86, Big Lake 76. Carson Deibele scored 32 points to lead Monti.
Howard Lake WW 90, Watertown Mayer 79. The Lakers outscored the Royals 16-5 in ot to pull out the road win on Tuesday night. Alex Stueven has been scoring at an elite level this season, and scored 28 for the Lakers, while Brody Niesen added 19 for HLWW.
Delano 77, Jordan 74. Bjorn Stewart led a balanced attack for the Tigers with 19 points. On the night, five different players scored in double figures for Delano.
Edina 73, STMA 48. Tanner Heinen netted 17 points for the Knights in the loss.

New Ulm 8, Litchfield DC 4. Landon Corbin scored two goal for the Dragons, but a five goal second period by New Ulm was to much to overcome.

Delano 5, Litchfield DC 2. Avery Thompson netted two goals in the Tigers win.

Monticello 72, STMA 63. Samantha Voll scored 20 of her 27 points in the first half, and Maddy Barrow hit four three pointers in the second half for 12 points as the Magic defeated the Knights on Thursday. Parker Haffeman chipped in 17 for Monti, while Cail Jahnke (20) and Jacey Bryan (16) were the top scorers for the Knights.

Minnetonka 10, Buffalo 4. The Bison jumped out to a 3-1 lead after one period, but it was all Skippers after that as they outscored the Bison 9-1 the rest of the game. Brandon Rodenwald scored two of the Bison’s four goals.

Litchfield DC 0, Hutch 0. Gwen Aho stopped 28 shots in the tie between Hutch and the Dragons.
Wrestling.
Aiden Herbst from Buffalo picked up his 125th win on Thursday with a 12-8 decision over Jake Rogers from Wayzata.
