Saturday, Jan. 18th.

Girls Hockey.

Buffalo 3, Elk River 2. Savana Sabraski tied the game at two for the Bison at the 16:17 mark of the third period and Kaiya Olson won it for the Bison at the 6:01 mark of overtime.

Litchfield DC 8, New Prague 1. Lydia Schultz scored three goals and had two assists as the Dragons rolled past the Trojans on Saturday.

Blake 7, Delano 2.

Boys Hockey.

Delano 11, Hutch 2. Three players scored two or more goals, led by Joseph McCabe with three, as Delano breezed past Hutch on Saturday.

Eden Prairie 7, Buffalo 3. The Eagles pulled away in the third period scoring the last three goals to defeat Buffalo. Harvey Ylitalo and Brandon Rodenwald each had a goal and two assist for Buffalo.

Minnetonka 5, STMA 1.

Girls Basketball.

Maple Grove 78, STMA 47. In a battle of two top 10AAAA schools on Saturday, it was all Crimson as Jordan Ode scored 27 for Maple Grove. Abby Hoselton was the top point scorer with 20 for STMA.

Delano 66, Waconia 47. Lexi Champeau played a complete game with 17 points and 8 steals in the Tigers win. Overall, four players scored in double figures for Delano, Abby Pietila was the second leading scorer with 16 points.

Boys Basketball.

Waconia 75, Delano 72. Max Iverson came back from an injury to lead the Tigers with 39, but it wasn’t enough against the Wildcats on Saturday.

Tuesday, Jan. 22nd.

Boys Hockey.

STMA 5, Anoka 0. Tanner Easterberg scored two goals and added an assist for the Knights, while Lucas Ingebrigtson stopped all 19 shots he faced in the Knights win.

Monticello 3, Providence 1. Aiden Widmark scored the game winning goal and also had an assist for the Moose in their win over the Lions. Landon Scherber also had a goal and an assist for Monti.

Minnetonka 7, North Wright County 0. The RiverHawk’s were limited to six shots in their loss to the Skippers.

Boys Basketball.

STMA 82, Edina 70. The Knights received balanced scoring with five players in double figures in their win over the Hornets. Hudson Hochstedler led the way for the Knights with 29.

Watertown Mayer 74, Howard Lake WW 67.

Monticello 74, Becker 60.

Delano 82, St. Peter 37. Abbie Pietila scored 24 points in the Tigers run away win.

Monticello 73, Becker 42. Addison Ruda led four players in double figures for the Magic with 19 points.

STMA 80, Edina 72.

Watertown Mayer 70, Howard Lake WW 51.

Thursday, Jan. 23rd.

Boys Basketball.

Hopkins 85, STMA 74. The Royals made a big run at the end of the half and early in the second half to pull away from the Knights on Thursday night at STMA. The Knights got balanced scoring from Jordan Holm (18 points.), Jeremiah Johnson (18), and Hudson Hochstedler (17), but it wasn’t enough to upset the #2AAAA Royals.

Delano 97, Holy Family 76. Three players scored twenty or more points as the Tigers flew past the Fire on Thursday. Nate Nielson led the way with 24 points, while Jake Schultz added 22, and Max Iverson 21.

Monticello 77, Zimmerman 61.

Glencoe SL 97, Dassel-Cokato 81.

Girls Basketball.

Maple Lake 53, Breck 50. The Irish got big games from Tessa Prybl (16 points), Avery Lee 14, and Aleigha Johnson 11 in their tight win over the Mustangs on Thursday night.

Monticello 80, Zimmerman 27. Samantha Voll, and Addison Ruda combined for 33 points in the Magic rout.

Girls Hockey.

Buffalo 2, Waconia 2. Avery Corbin scored the first Bison goal, and Savana Sabraski scored the game tying goal at the 14:55 mark of the third period to preserve a tie for the Bison.

Centennial 2, Noth Wright County 1 in OT.

Mound 5, Delano 2.

Monticello 5, Little Falls 1. In a battle of two Top 10A boys’ hockey teams, #4 Monti defeated #10 Little Falls on Thursday night.

Edina 9, STMA 0.

Hopkins 6, Buffalo 5.

Friday, Jan. 24th.

Boys Basketball.

Annandale 80, Howard Lake WW 63. It was a game of runs on Friday night, with Annandale controlling the end of the first half and early second half, before the Lakers went on a big run to cut the Cards lead to 55-52, but Annandale closed the game on a 25-11 spurt to pull out the victory on Friday. Colton Purcell led the Cards with 31 points, while Gabe Westman added 20. For HLWW, Alex Stueven, and Trey Tondera scored 17 points each.

Eden Prairie 61, Buffalo 51. Eight players scored for the Bison, but Thomas Jordan with 10 points was the only player to score in double figures for Buffalo, as the Eagles won a defensive battle.

Girls Basketball.

Annandale 59, Howard Lake WW 32. Julia Bishop scored thirteen of her fifteen points in the first have as the Cards cruised past the Lakers on Friday night.

Buffalo 57, Big Lake 41. Brianna Eggers scored 22 points in the Bison home win.

Hopkins 82, STMA 53. In a battle of two top 10AAAA schools it was all Royals, as Lauren Hillesheim led Hopkins with 27 points. Cail Jahnke was the only player to score in double figures for STMA with 11.

Hutch 7, Litchfield DC 4. Anton Haataja scored a goal and added an assist in the Dragons loss.

Saturday, Jan. 25th.

Boys Hockey.

STMA 8, Buffalo 2. Tanner Esterberg had an unbelievable night, scoring six goals and even added an assist in the Knights win over Buffalo.

Girls Hockey.

North Wright County 2, Blake 1. Danika Weiland and Roz Landkammer scored in the first period and both of those goals held up for the River Hawks in their win over the Bears.

Buffalo 3, Hopkins 1. Kaiya Johnson had a goal and an assist for the Bison, and Ava Jovan stopped 30 of 31 shots in the net for Buffalo in their win on Saturday afternoon.

Delano 4, Litchfield DC 1. McKenzie Perry and Kayleigh Olson each scored two goals for the Tigers in their win over the Dragons.
