Section 8AAAA. (Quarterfinals.)
#1 STMA 2, #8 Elk River 1. Becca Odlund hit a two-run double, one of two in the game for Odlund in the first inning, and those two runs held up thanks to the great pitching of Kendra Behrens, who struck out eight in the complete game victory.
Section 5AA. (Quarterfinals.)
#1 Rockford 3, #8 Howard Lake WW 2. After shutting out the Lakers, 20-0 last week, this time the Rockets had to sweat out a first round victory over HLWW at Rockford.
#4 Annandale 5, #5 Maranatha 2. Mikayla Jenniges hit a big two run double, and Bryn Fahey made a diving catch in left field to highlight the Cards win.

Section 6AAA. (Quarterfinals.)
#2 St. Francis 10, #7 Monticello 1. The Saints pounded out 15 hits in their win over the Magic.
Section 3AA.
Dassel-Cokato, the number two seed, who surprised the Section by winning last year, got off to another hot start this season, winning two games over Montevideo, 11-1, and New London Spicer, 3-0.
Baseball.
Section 5AA. (1st Round.)
#9 Dassel-Cokato 6, #8 Howard Lake WW 4. The Chargers went on the road and eliminated their rivals from HLWW in the first round.
#4 Holy Family 12, #13 Maple Lake 2. The Fire ended the Irish season with a win at home.
Regular Season.
Monticello took home their first Mississippi 8 conference title since 2023, with a 10-0 win over North Branch at home, then traveled to Delano for a night game, where the hometown Tigers won a close one, 4-3.

Buffalo lost at Edina, 4-1, the traveled to Eden Prairie, where they defeated the Eagles, 3-2.

Orono 12, Delano 5.
Girls Lacrosse. (Regular season.)
Delano 13, Breck 4. Addilyn Dietman scored five goals and added an assist in the Tigers win.

STMA 19, Brainerd 3.
Girls Golf.
Mississippi 8 Conference Championships.
Monticello won with a score of 350, ten strokes better than North Branch to finish the season undefeated in the M8 conference. Alayna Opatz (Monticello.) had the top score with an 81.
Track and field. (Mississippi 8 Conference Championships.)
On the girl’s side, Chisago Lakes took home the title with a score of 129, with Monticello finishing second with a 120. For the boys, Cambridge-Isanti was the conference champ with a score of 153, the Monticello boys finished third with 96. Lauren Hanson from Monticello won both the Long Jump and Triple Jump.

Edina won the boys title with a score of 136.5, Buffalo was second with, 121. Wayzata won a close one on the girl’s side with 158 points, with STMA right behind them with 156 points.

STMA 3, St. Cloud 2. The Knights advanced to the Section finals for the third straight year with a close win over the Crush on Friday.
Section 5AAA Semifinals.
Delano 14, Big Lake 5. The Tigers bashed their way to the Winners Bracket final with a runaway win over the Hornets.
Section 5AAA Elimination Bracket.
Princeton 9, Monticello 3. The Tigers ended the Magic’s season with a convincing win on Friday.

Semifinals.
Rockford 11, Annandale 1. The Rockets advanced to the winners bracket final with a win over their rivals from Annandale.
Section 5AA Elimination Bracket.
Howard Lake WW defeated Maranatha 10-5, before losing to Southwest Christian 6-0 in their next game, ending their season. Brynn Gorman threw a one hitter, striking out seven in the Stars win.
Providence 7, Annandale 3. The Cards went 0-2 on the day with the loss to the Lions ending their season.

STMA 3, Buffalo 0. Riley Wuebkers threw a no hitter, striking out eleven in his final home game as the Knights blanked the Bison on Friday.
Delano 3, Hutch 0. Brody Geislinger hit a double and drove in a run in the Delano shutout win.
