Wright County Parks & Recreation is reminding those who utilize county campgrounds that the reservation portal will be opening this coming Monday, March 3rd.
Brad Harrington with Wright County Parks says there will be a new twist this year that should give Wright County residents a better shot at securing a camping site…
“So residents of Wright County will have the first crack. So, our reservations will open for all Wright County residents at 8 AM on March 3rd, and they will have 4 hours solely for Wright County residents. At noon, we will open the reservation portal to everybody. We have taken the stance, and are moving forward with this new direction to allow for the Wright County citizens, the taxpayers of Wright County, to have the first opportunity to get in and enjoy the resources of the campgrounds that they support.”
For those unfamiliar with the process, historically almost every available campsite for much of the summer is purchased within the first day reservations can be made – many of those in the first 90 minutes.
